Delia Boyano’s work consist on an historical and cultural revision, which explores new possibilities of visual narrative through the reworking and appropriation of its sociocultural contents and significances. She creates enviroments where the time is suspended to give form to a multiple temporality, and where the emergence of non-linear narrative forms is due to the multi-layering of media, such as sculpture, video, drawing and performance. These spatial explorations conform a metaphor in which she often explores themes of power, genre, historical memory and culture, and where the combination of social analysis and autobiographical experiences further indicates her dedication to talk about the collective desires, neurosis, vulnerabilities and contradictions that haunt the subconscious of contemporary society.
